Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 amβ6 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (815) 374-4621. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is facebook.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 39 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Super cool staff just drove up to the garage and asked for a valve stem replacement. Told me 10 minutes they were done it 7 and I was outta there under 12 minutes and super affordable didnβt try to to sell me anything else or recommend something not needed straightforward and honest canβt beat that.

Definitely upcharging. Example: they to charge me $20 for a fuse and changed it without asking me and then wanted to tack it on to an already high bill. I had them take it back out. Not friendly. Research before you go to them. My estimate was $440, I went elsewhere and was told $250 for the same thing with a fuse included. They will take advantage so look at your options or at least research when you should expect to pay before you go. Call around.

They had my car for over 2 months with no updates or calls the entire time. Multiple times they told me to wait because they were supposedly waiting for catalytic converters from other places, but I was never updated and the parts never showed up. I finally gave up and bought my own parts β $1,700 on shorty headers and high flow cats. On top of that, I found out from dashcam footage that they were driving my car without my permission. They still charged me $200 for junkyard cats that never worked, and overcharged on parts and labor. When I got the car back and went home, I still had a check engine light for the same cat and sensor issues they claimed they cleared and fixed. Completely unprofessional.

Horrible tried to scam me and damaged my wheels. Came in for 2 used tires got them they tried to over charge me but talked them back down (note if you speak Spanish you get better deal) But now hereβs where the real problem happens. I talked to the desk and tire changer people we made a deal on trading a brand new with stickers still on tire for 2 used tires different size. They stated the only issue would be if they have the size I needed and to call in the morning to make sure which I did and they had them for me I confirmed. So after work I went with the new tire talked to the worker told him why Iβm there and he brought out the used tires for me I asked how much to have them mounted and put on he said $20 a wheel I said sure run it. He proceeded to take my wheels apart which didnβt make sense since the center cap face didnβt interfere with removing the tire but I thought he was just being cautious so didnβt say anything he removed one tire (ripped it) and while removing the second he comes up to me and says βso you know itβs $60 each tireβ I was i shock since we already talked about the deal and when I told him what are you talking about we had a deal he changes his mind and sa
